Nematron Announces New CEO and VP of Product Management

Nematron Corporation announced today that Greg Chandler has been appointed President and CEO. Mr. Chandler was a founding member of Nematron in the early 1980s. He left Nematron in 1997 to form Viewtronix, which was later purchased by Pro-face America / Xycom Automation in 2001.
Also joining Nematron as Vice President, Product Management, is Ralph Damato. For the previous 13 years, Mr. Damato developed and marketed industrial computers and flat panel monitors for Xycom Automation. Previous to that he designed and managed several hardware projects for the defense industry.
“With over 30 years of experience designing and marketing industrial automation equipment for the factory automation market, Mr. Chandler is an ideal choice to lead and grow Nematron. We are very excited about the future growth possibilities that their (Chandler and Damato’s) experience and vision brings to Nematron”, states Hugo Braun of North Coast Technology Investors, LP an Ann Arbor, Michigan based venture capital firm and investor in Nematron.
Nematron began in 1983 and grew to be a major supplier of operator interfaces and industrial computers for the factory automation marketplace. Nematron is credited with making the first panel mounted industrial operator interface and industrial computer. Nematron is positioning itself to expand its presence in factory automation. A new generation of designs has already been created and plans to sell and produce them are underway.
